For 45 years, The Women's Center has been a lifeline to thousands of women, men, and children of Northern Virginia and DC for whom mental health counseling would otherwise be out of reach. With a team of over 65 therapists, people facing trauma or crisis can receive immediate care, regardless of their financial means. The Center also provides support and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Its holistic approach pairs mental health counseling with educational and career services to nearly 5,000 people each year – whether they face depression, job loss, divorce, abuse, or the death of a loved one. Though it accepts most insurances, the Center relies on philanthropic support to provide a sliding fee scale so that no one is denied service because of inability to pay. Simply put, your support saves lives.
