Christmas Morning Breakfast

Now - Dec 21st

Spend Yourself Food Pantry is always welcoming food donations, in particular non-instant oats, hearty soups, pancake mix, and syrup. Breakfast items which are donated before December 21st will be distributed to families in need so that they can celebrate a special Christmas Day breakfast. Restore a Local Park

Dec 21st

Volunteers are invited to join Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy in restoring Dumbarton Oaks Park by removing invasive plants and downed wood, caring for young trees, and generally improving the habitat for wildlife and human visitors, alike! Each volunteer receives a history lesson, tools, training, and snacks. Shifts last 9am to 1pm. If interested, email info@dopark.org.

Small Business Saturday Book Drives

Now – Dec 31st

Beginning on Small Business Saturday, Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe will be supporting An Open Book Foundation through a book donation campaign. Shoppers can purchase select books to be donated to students in schools serving local, low-income communities. You can even complete a book plate noting your donation inside of that book!

New Year’s Raffle to Win a Car

Now - Dec 31st

When you purchase a $100 ticket, you enter for a chance to win a new Cadillac XT4! All proceeds from this raffle benefit ThanksUSA, a nonprofit which provides need-based scholarships and pathways to employment for military spouses and children.
