The House, helps kids figure out who they are and where they want to go. Life and interests don't always match a school schedule, so it offers out-of-school experiences including a Certificate in Leadership through the EmpowerMEnt® Leadership Institute. The HANGRY Truck, a mobile food market and street kitchen, is their student-led community project designed to address real community problems — bringing food assistance and hot meals to food insecure children and families in neighborhoods overlooked by traditional systems impacted by long-standing inequalities. The House also equips kids with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in higher education, their chosen careers, and in life. The approach is comprehensive: academic enrichment, leadership development, mentorship, service learning, workforce readiness, college access, and health programs help each child reach their full potential.
